i grew up in tasmania, australia,
in a town where people around
the world flocked during the
cold war because someone
claimed it to be the last place
on earth that would be effected
by nuclear fallout...
i was surrounded by arty (read
hippy) and interesting families
and loved drawing from the
moment my motor skills
developed enough for me to steal
my brother's pencils.
luke watson creations was founded in 2006 after an 18 month sabbatical
from real work in a german basement and around the suburbs of perth.
I had graduated top of my class with a degree in industrial design but realised that the industrial design industry was a bore fest. my only option was to take careers advice from my seven year old self (see above) and become a cartoonist.
the business was established to let me follow the areas of art that I love and not take myself too seriously. since 2006 the business has evolved and moved from western australia to victoria, establishing a client base across the country.
luke watson creations now provides quality custom artwork to corporate and personal clients across australia and internationally.
